New pattern release: Skirt Salvia

Skirt Salvia by Tilia Patterns

I am very excited to present you the Skirt Salvia today! A modern, gathered skirt in boho-look. With Salvia you get a sister to Curcuma: Together they form an adorable ensemble as you can see on my neighbour and friend Kiki: She wears a hacked, sleeveless version of the Curcuma blouse and a Salvia skirt in version A.

Skirt Salvia by Tilia Patterns

The pattern Salvia is available in 11 different sizes, from 34 – 54! The salvia pattern is 25% off this week! The offer ends on Friday, 31 July 2020 at midnight (CET).

Pattern details

The Salvia skirt is not only chic, but also really comfortable thanks to the elastic in the back waistband. And a big plus: The large side pockets offer space for all the small things you want to carry with you.

The pattern Salvia comes in two versions: View A is a feminine, knee-length skirt. Small ruffles sparkle out as bold eye-catchers. View B is a boho-inspired maxi skirt with gathered skirt panels ending below the calf.

Sewing Level

The Salvia skirt is suitable for sewing beginners with some sewing experience. The detailed sewing instructions take you by the hand and explain every single step on the way to your Salvia skirt in detailed words and with the help of many illustrations.

How to pick a size

Choose your size according to your hip measurement. The width of the skirt is designed to be only slightly wider than your hip circumference. Therefore, if your measurements are between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Fabric & Notions

Salvia is designed for light woven fabrics like viscose, lyocell (Tencel TM) or light cotton fabrics. As further supplies you will need sewing thread in matching colours, elastic band with 5/8″ (1.5 cm) width, Microtex needles, 2″ (10 cm) fusible interfacing and possibly seam tape for the pocket edges.

Tester Photos

I had a wonderful crew that supported me during the test phase of the pattern! If you want to see how salvia made from different fabrics looks like and how the pattern can be styled, then click over to the tester blog post.

I would be thrilled to see your salvia skirt! When you show your work on Instagram, tag me with @tilia.patterns and use the hashtag #tiliasalvia and #tiliapatterns.
