Spring fever with Art Gallery Fabrics

A bright spring outfit! That’s exactly what I needed after all those bitterly cold weeks. After my entire wardrobe is made up of different shades of blue, I was really tempted to try a completely different colour scheme… Ein knalliges Frühlingsoutfit! Genau das habe ich gebraucht nach all den bitterkalten Wochen. Nachdem meine gesamte Garderobe aus verschiedenen Schattierungen in Blau besteht, reizte es mich, mich mal an eine ganz andere Farbgebung zu wagen… When the Danish textile wholesaler Adlico Textiles offered me fabrics from Art Gallery Fabrics for a project, I immediately knew what collection the fabrics had to be from: Katarina Roccella’s Esoterra collection! Als mir der dänische Stoffgrosshändler Adlico Textiles das Angebot machte, Stoffe von Art Gallery Fabrics für ein Projekt zu vernähen, wusste ich sofort aus welcher Kollektion die Stoffe sein mussten: Aus der Kollektion Esoterra von Katarina Roccella! I especially liked the Tropicalia fabrics. The green combined with pink makes you feel like spring. Mir haben es insbesondere die Tropicalia Stoffe angetan. Das Grün kombiniert mit Pink macht so richtig Laune auf Frühling. The pink jersey I used for the shirt is also from Art Gallery. The quality is excellent and the fabric is almost as flowing as viscose jersey. It also feels wonderfully soft on your skin. Der pinke Jersey, den ich für das Shirt verwendet habe, ist ebenfalls von Art Gallery Fabrics. Die Qualität ist hervorragend und der Stoff fällt fast so fliessend wie Viskose Jersey. I sewed the shirt after the pattern Selja Knot Tee by Named Patterns. I wanted a sporty top to break the classic appearance of the skirt. And I liked the detail that the shirt was knotted. Das Shirt habe ich nach dem Schnittmuster Selja Knot Tee von Named Patterns genäht. Ich wollte ein sportliches Oberteil um den klassischen Auftritt des Rocks zu brechen. Und das Detail, dass das Shirt geknotet wird, fand ich überaus keck. This fabric must become a pleated skirt! That was clear to me from the beginning. I thought about the patterns for a long time and finally decided in favour of the Chardon skirt by Deer and Doe. The skirt is rather simple and therefore quick to sew. But the look of the skirt is absolutely wow! Ich habe lange über die Schnittwahl nachgedacht und mich schlussendlich für den Chardon Rock von Deer and Doe entschieden. Der Rock ist relativ simpel und dementsprechend schnell genäht. Doch in der Wirkung ist er absolut „Wow“. Das ist zumindest meine ganz unvoreingenommene Meinung. 

Now I hope that from now on we only have wonderfully warm spring days. So I can wear my new outfit over and over again.

Jetzt drücke ich alle Daumen, dass Russland seine Luft ab sofort nach China schickt und der Wind uns dafür angenehme warme Luft aus Afrika zuträgt. Ich möchte einfach zu gern mein Outfit auch mal Outdoor tragen…
