Opposites have something thrilling for me. No wonder this project appealed to me. Especially since I have fallen for the Boho like Petites Choses blouse pattern from the first moment; though, that’s my normal state when it comes to patterns from Atelier Scammit.
The blouse comes up with countless surprising details:
- The sleeves, which are narrower at the top, then bulge in the middle of the upper arm.
- The front, which is subdivided and side ruffled.
- The neckline that can be sewn both in drops and in V-shape.
and last but not least: the back!
Oh, isn’t it gorgeous! I I think this triangular peephole is pretty hot.. Especially in combination with this classic shirt fabric.
Apropos fabric: It consists of light cotton with finely woven stripes in white and blue. As a highlight the fabric is embroidered with small apples in gold. Fabric, such as patterns were provided to me by Ana, who runs the shop Tissu&Co.
I sewed a muslin in advance. But since every fabric behaves differently, I was still not 100% satisfied with the fit of this blouse: It’s a bit too wide. On the front side, however, I could make the excess fabric disappear in a simple way. I simply sewed the seam that divides the front a bit wider. Et voila: The fit is almost perfect!
I will show you my second Petites Choses blouse made of floral embroidered cotton shortly. Believe me, you’ll even feel the Boho vibes over the ether!
