Vertical stripes are chic. Obelix already knew that and Hello Heidi Fabrics are of the same opinion. And so the latest Jet collection was born: three three-coloured jacquards with trendy vertical stripes. As with Pool, Jet has a viscose yarn woven into it, giving the fabric a light sheen.
sewed Jet into an Tierra Wrap Skirt from Named Pattern. As the name suggests, it’s a wrap skirt tied to the side. If you wear the skirt at the waist, it ends just below the knee. If you choose hip height like me, it becomes a trendy 7/8 skirt 😉
The wide bow gives the pattern a cheeky eye-catcher. All in all, you look really chic with this skirt; the clou is that it is so comfortable, that it is kind of secret pyjamas.
As a combination to the skirt I sewed a Sloane Sweater also from Named Pattern. The black Chevron Quilt Sweat from Mind the Maker was also made available to me by Hello Heidi Fabrics. I think the chevron pattern gives the fabric its very own charm.
The Sloane Sweater has a rather sporty design. To make it a bit more feminine, I sewed a ruffle from the rest of this blouse at the neckline.
As a second variation I sewed a button placket on one shoulder. I like such small highlights incredibly much, even if it serves only the decoration. And yet they make a sewing unit unique.
If you want to sew your own Jet Set outfit, don’t hesitate and put Jet in your shopping cart. I know for sure that this Jacquard Jet Black – Garda in particular will soon be coming to an end.
Happy Sewing
